Complete Linux Kernel 3.6.x support is still work on progress, but we are very close now.
Fadil Berisha summarized all efforts by making this GitHub project https://github.com/koliqi/imx23-olinuxino in HowTo build latest Linux Kernel for iMX233, note that this is not stabile release and USB still need some polishing but the Linux is booting and you can play.
