Image

Problem:

In window with size 100 x 100 pixels is drawn solid filled circle with 50 pixels diameter at random coordinates X,Y but the circle is completely inside the window. Make code which finds the circle XY coordinates.

The rules:

You can code the solution in any programming language during the weekend and have to submit it to info@olimex.com latest on Sunday April 13th.

On Monday we will upload the solutions on GitHub https://github.com/OLIMEX/WPC

You can play with your real name or with nick if you want to be anonymous, we will not disclosure your personal info if you do not want to.

You probably ask for the coordinates of the center?

One can of course use a naive ad-hoc algorithm, but centroid or circle fitting (e.g. Hough Circle Transform) are two algorithms/methods which are interesting because they are general; of course in the real world they would be overkill for such a simple problem
