STM32-H407 BOARD DESIGN COMPLETE

STM32-H407 is our new low cost EURO 30, STM32F407ZGT6 Cortex M4 board with 168Mhz processor with 1MB of Flash and 192KB of RAM.

Board comes with :
– JTAG connector
– UEXT connector
– ADRUINO shield platform
– SD card
– USB host
– USB OTG
– high efficiency DC/DC from 5 to 3.3V
– 3V battery connector
– PORTs PD PE PF PG 4×16 GPIOs available on 4 20 pin connectors
– button
– status LED

This board will be open source hardware, we are looking forward to hear your comments. The software options will be C direct programming with CooCox free IDE, or Maple like language.

    Nice board, wonderful price! Just a (newbie) thought thou: if you want to drive directly (for ex) a 1 MB external SRAM (like on the maple) in an efficient way, wouldn’t it be better to make one of those 4 ports bigger (say 24 pins, sacrificing 8 pins from another port), so that you can use it as the address bus, updating it with a single processor instruction?

      these 4 ports are all used for the EMI so you can attach external memory or other IO devices which need quick read/write

        That’s great. Didn’t know that. I believe an “I/O & MEM” shield could really make a nice addition to this powerful board. A sort of DUINOMITE IO but with separated VGA RGB signals and some additional SRAM.

      no, this board have no Ethernet and no HS USB host, there will be STM32-E407 which will have Ethernet and USB HS host which require additional PHYs, but we still have to decide how to wire these as the Ethernet mess up lot of the ports and will eat the Arduino platform ports, i.e. if you want Ethernet there will be no Arduino shield connector or we have to sacrifice the Eexternal Memory Interface which on this board is complete PD,PE,PF,PG

        I guess you’ll have to find the right trade of – at least for me the header is not important.

        I do own two STMP407 boards – but there is quite a lot of stuff on it and I’d like to have a “simple board”.

        I think there is no ETH header board available for the 407/207 on the market. If there were I’d buy at least 10 of them….

      actually our engineers just found way to bring all Ethernet signals on the Arduino platform so we can make later small “ethernet shield” with the PHY🙂

        great! Would it be possible to place the Ethernet port in a way that it is flat with the front connectors of the board? Would be great for casing

    Can we have a simple version with included Ethernet port? That is critical for an internet of things environment we are moving towards.

    Any timeframe or update on the board? This board would certainly be a dream come true (especially with ethernet!).
