    I am a Linux newbie and I don’t know how to apply this img file to my SD card? Do I need to delete the all partitions on the SD card first? What command or program is required to copy to or burn into my SD card?

    Thanks

      if you have linux, plug the SD card to SD card reader and see which device is it by type

      $ ls /dev/sd

      so you see which device is your sd-card sda sdb sdc etc

      then write the image with dd command:

      $dd if=image of=/dev/sdX

      where X is your sd card device

    downloading the ARCH image from google drive proved very slow and difficult. I created a torrent to assist in downloading it. magnet:?xt=urn:btih:DB6506EEAD05B1533BC68840BFF24D06BEBD56FD&dn=imx233_kernel_2.6_ARCH_FS_WIFI-29112012.rar&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3a80%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.publicbt.com%3a80%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.ccc.de%3a80%2fannounce

    I install this image to Olinuxino Nano. Then plug in tp-link wn725n (rtl8188 based) dongle. After “wifi-menu” execution I get an error “No such interface: wlan0”. I thought that every 8188 based adapter must work, not only MOD-WIFI-RTL8188. May by, I need some additional instructions? Can you help me, please?

    If you can’t make it work and your device id is 0179 then use the rtl8188EU driver (EU instead of CU). That’s the only driver I was able to use with my cheap adapter that I got from eBay. The driver source is on github.

    Btw, this image did not work for my rtl8188eu dongle. The driver is only for CU dongles. Each model has a different device ID on the USB port so a driver for CU will not detect an EU dongle.
