Weekend Programming Challenge – Week #36 NOKIA text message converter



Make code which takes string and convert it to button push sequence on NOKIA1100 phone keypad which will print same string. For instance: HELLO -> 44 33 555 555 666
Let assume the keys assignments are as per the picture above.

The rules:

You can code the solution in any programming language during the weekend and have to submit it to info@olimex.com latest on Sunday December 8st.

On Monday we will upload the solutions on GitHub https://github.com/OLIMEX/WPC

You can play with your real name or with nick if you want to be anonymous, we will not disclosure your personal info if you do not want to.

    Note that on real phones, there is a timeout which is used to disambiguate sequences of keypresses, e.g. the sequence “44” translates to “gg” or “h” depending on the amount of time that passes between the two keypresses.
