This is the first I’ve heard mentioned about the LIME2 what is the difference between the LIME and the LIME2?

@Michael – 1GB RAM and Gigabit Ethernet (vs 512 MB RAM and 100Mbit in A20-LIME). And it is dual core if you refer to the A10-LIME.

Thanks for the response. When I finally just compared specs for myself, all I noticed was the difference in RAM size. I hadn’t noticed the upgrade to Gigabit Ethernet.

    Awesome, LIME2 is out! :-))))

(I did notice it appearing in the Olimex shop, before it had a price settled.)

This product is pretty much leading the field on price of ARM boards with GbE, and it could be huge because price is the main determinant of interest. I’ll certainly add some LIME2’s to my ever-growing assembly of Olimex boards.

Quite a few of my techie friends have been looking for the same combination of ARM + GbE at a reasonable price, so there’s some social networking coming up too. 😛

By the way Olimex, do yourselves a favour and add a short release announcement on A20 LIME2 as a blog item, mentioning the 1GB ram and GbE. Hidden away in a Friday Give-Away Quiz post, it may be missed by some readers. A dedicated blog post would give A20 LIME2 some nice “limelight”. 😛

    Thanks Olimex! 🙂

        cubietruck has gigabit ethernet too.

I can confirm that the Lime2 I received yesterday does indeed have gigabit ethernet and it works nicely!

Do you have any schematics for the gigabit part on LIME2? Olimex doesn’t want to share the schematiics on github.
