Open Source Hardware Industrial Linux computers STMP1-OLinuXino-LIME2 prototypes are ready for testing

STMP1

First prototypes of the Open Source Hardware Industrial grade operating at -45+85C Linux Single Board Computers STMP1-OLinuXino-LIME2 are assembled.

STMP1a

We build couple of boards with STM32MP153 and STM32MP157 for the first tests.

Now time to add Linux mainline support for it in OLIMAGE building and to add Ubuntu and Debian minimal and base images for it in http://images.olimex.com

What can you say about power consumption?

Will you also add the connector for Flash_Con1 to the shop? Speaking of which, what made you decide to use this variant now? In your original 2019-Dec-10 design you used two SMT 0.05″ step connectors. Did the new connector allow a cheaper design?

We will offer Flash modules with different configurations SPI, eMMC, NAND, etc.
This is experimental feature to may stock just one base board and to add Flash as option, comparing with current situation where we have to stock more than 100 variants of 12 base boards due to the different memory options. No problem to put these connectors on the web but they are not as cheap as 0.05″ connectors we use just more compact and in this case we didn’t want to have big memory modules which will interference with the LIME2 shields

Congratulations. we use MyirTech board for prototype and testing, with RS-485, 232, CAN Bus, http://www.myirtech.com/list.asp?id=623 with emmc storage, we are looking forward Olimex to release Open source hardware, Olimex has decent community for help.

Please provide emmc storage, you may need to increase the power supply 12v, 2 amp, rather than 5v, 3 amp for more power hungry devices.

We look for standard options to add 4G LTE shields via rx/tx.

    1. Is pricing of STMP1-LIME2 comparable to LIME, LIME-2 AllWinner series?

    2. Can USB-gLINK powered from LIME, LIME-2 boards directly, we will like to use UART model
