RISC-V computer system on Open Source Hardware FPGA iCE40HX8K-EVB runs UNIX xv6 using only FOSS (free and open source hard- and software)


Michael Schröder sent us a link to his Gitlab repository

He managed to build RISC-V computer running Unix xv6 using only FOSS.

For hardware he choose our OSHW FPGA board iCE40HX8K-EVB

    I have everything to do this project except MOD-SDMMC, but the local shop where I bought iCE40HX8K-EVB and Olimexino 32u4 doesn’t have that MOD, but they have a similar module that might work. Shipping for one small thing would be too expensive. Maybe I have time to build and compile everything during Easter, but if not during the Summer of ’23. Have anyone outside the original team got it working?
