Seven new version of ESP32 modules are add to our web shop

We add to our web shop seven new ESP32 modules:

ESP32-WROOM-32D-4MB – this is equal to used by us ESP32-WROOM-32, it uses D0WD instead of D0WDQ6 which is with smaller size and Espressif recommend it for new designs.

ESP32-WROOM-32D-16MB  has 16MB of Flash

ESP32-WROOM-32D-4MBHT is High temperature +105C module for demanding applications.

ESP32-WROOM-32U-4MB is with U.FL connector for external antenna

ESP32-WROOM-32U-16MB has 16MB of Flash

ESP32-WROOM-32U-4MBHT is High temperature +105C module for demanding applications.

ESP32-WROVER-4MB has 4MB Flash and 8MB of PSRAM.

The high temperature modules are still not in stock as Espressif manufacture these now, but all others are in stock.

ESP32-PRO IoT OSHW board with 4MB RAM, 4MB Flash, co-processor with USB-OTG 256KB Flash 64KB RAM is released

ESP32-PRO development started long time ago but with so many projects running in parallel it was always on the bottom of the priority list which was not quite fair for this board as it has excellent features:

32Mbit (4MB) PSRAM which maps on ESP32 memory space and can be used for your project.

32Mbit (4MB) fast QSPI Flash for program memory mapped to ESP32 program space.

Additional PIC32MX270F256DT processor with USB-OTG 256KB Flash and 64KB RAM which can be used as program or as USB profile like USB keyboard, serial, MIDI etc you name it.

ESP32-PROa

LiPo battery charger and management IC.

Optional Crypto engine for IoT applications.

We made two demo projects with this board which create WiFi to serial bridge you can pair two such boards and use them as wireless UART or Wireless USB Serial bridge, but the possibilities are many as the USB-OTG allow you to connect Web cameras, Flash drives and many other USB devices.

BurgasConf is part of IT Tour – traveling IT events organized with the help of the local Burgas hacker space BurgasLab.

This Saturday it will start at 10.00 in Flora Expo Center.

Usually IT tour is focused more on Software than on Hardware, but this time we will try to change it a bit with Hardware related talk about the Flash memories.

These who come to the talk will learn about who invented the Flash memories, who are the major players and what are the trends. How the different Flash memories work, what we should know about how they wear and what precautions to take to minimize this, also are there security risks involved with their use.

We will not go in deep technical details, but enough to people learn what Flash memory is best for their application.

So looking forward to see you there!

Metal Frame Box for OLinuXino LIME with 10″ LCD is now in stock

Our LCD10-MATAL-FRAME box for LIME/LIME2 is now in stock. We offer it only in black color.

Like with LCD7-METAL-FRAME all connectors of LIME are exposed on two sides on the frame box:

Four M4x8 screws hold together the two parts of the LCD frame, the same can be used to attach the frame to any flat surface.

The LCD assembly is easy to do but involves making frame of dual adhesive tape around the LCD to keep the glass off contact with the metal and to attach the touchscreen if necessary.

We offer this assembly as separate service if one do not want to make it himself. Here is the link for the assembly service – it’s orderable item in the web shop.

Please note that before you add LCD10-ASSEMBLY-SERVICE to your order you also have ordered these items: A10 or A20 OLinuXino LIME or LIME2, LCD-OLinuXino-10 or LCD-OLinuXino-10TS, LCD10-METAL-FRAME and CABLE-40-40-10CM otherwise we can’t do the assembly!

A20-OLinuXino-LIME2-eMMC with Industrial temperature grade eMMC SLC Flash is now available on our web shop too.

We completed A10-OLinuXino-LIME-4GB preliminary Android image.

The DDR3 is clocked at 480Mhz, RTL8188 and Ralink RT5730 WIFI adapters are supported.

A10-OLinuXino-LIME-4GB with 4GB NAND Flash is released and in stock for these who want to run Android from NAND Flash.

NAND Flash is also available as disk storage in Linux as there is working MTD driver, but booting Linux from NAND seems to have still obstracles or at least we didn’t saw official Linux-Sunxi solution. The proprietary Allwinner bootloader from Android can be used but some people say it’s violating GPL, we are not experts and have no idea if this is correct or not.
