Friday Free Board Quiz – PCB Zo impedances for DDR routing – prize is SMT proto board

SMT-PROTOTYPE-1

SMT-PROTOBOARD is something every developer must have 🙂 on it you can solder almost any SMT component and you have plenty of prototype area to check your ideas.

TQFP 32-44-52-64 on 0.8 mm step, TQFP 32-44-52-64-80-100 at 0.5 mm step, SOT23, SOT89, buttons, micro SD card, mini USB connector, JTAG, UEXT, 0402 0603 0805 TSSOP at 25 and 50 mils step

We use this board for our experiments when something should be check quick and dirty 🙂

And we now add OLinuXino paper Notebook and keychain to all our Quiz winners!

To participate in the Quiz is enough to re-tweet the Twitter Quiz announcement message.

To double your chances you have to answer the Quiz question :)

H3-NANO

Here above is illustrative picture of our (yet in development) H3-OLinuXino-NANO with only 5 x 5 cm size. As you see the DDR3 memory need special routing with not only equal trace lines but also specific track impedance to be meet.

The Quiz question is what impedances are necessary for the tracks which route the DDR3 memory? Note there are two different impedances for the different lines. Quote them both 🙂

You have time to re-tweet and/or answer until Monday 16th of November.

In Monday we will post the correct answer and ask random.org to generate random number in range then announce the winner and ship the board by post/airmail.

Good Luck!

You guys always do a fantastic job routing your boards… I’ve looked at quite a few of them. Even more so as it appears like that you are using good-old Eagle 🙂
