Is there any specific reason to stay on kernel 3.4.75 for A13-OLinuXino and not to move to latest version 3.4.79?

I I have prepared a sd with the latest image file for A13-OLinuXino and A13-OLinuXino-MICRO with Kernel 3.4 but the system does not boot. Checking the contents of the sd card, I noticed that some files are missing. And ‘possible to verify if it happens always or only in my case? Thanks for your the attention

Hey Giovanni, we have checked the imaged multiple times. It should be at your side and it is possibly a software or installation issue. Please drop an e-mail at support@olimex.com with some more information:
1. Which revisions are both boards?
2. How do you determine that the system doesn’t boot? Is there any LED on after providing power?
3. What kind of power supply are you using?
4. Are you sure that the files doesn’t appear missing because you are exploring the SD card under an operating system that doesn’t recognize the file system of the SD card?
Best regards,
Lub/OLIMEX

Hi
I have used Win32DiskImager to put the SD image onto a new 8Gb class 10 SD card.
When I put the card in the board, the board boots into Android. The supplied 2Gb SD card boots fine.
I assume that some parameter has not been written to the new card. Any ideas?
Thanks

OK, fixed it.
The SD card needed formatting. I used the SD Formatter 4.0 from here :-
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/
I set “FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT” to ON in the Options menu, as per these instructions :-
http://elinux.org/RPi_Easy_SD_Card_Setup.
I then used Win32DiskImager to put the SD image onto my SD card.
Now boots.
