A13-OLinuXino-WIFI Developer edition is now on our web shop for sale

Image

We start shipping A13-OLinuXino-WIFI-DEV – this is Rev.B with NAND Flash 4GB and WIFI RTL8188CU module on board.

The board cost EUR 55.00 + bonus of free shipping worldwide by courier to help developers receive the boards ASAP.

Note that the free shipping will apply on our shop only when you order A13-OLinuXino-WIFI-DEV if you add other items to the basket the free shipping will be removed.

Also for the EU orders there will be add VAT if there is no valid VAT-ID.

We will ship with pre-installed Android 4.0 image. Note that the video VGA controller is still not working properly, we need more time to solve this issue.

Dimitar Gamishev run Uboot, Slackware and Ubuntu and his GitHub project is at https://github.com/hehopmajieh/olinuxino-a13/ these projects are still at very early stage, but Dimitar reported that I2C, UART, NAND etc support is woring in the kernel fine. Nevermind these are images are few days mature and need more love and more developers to touch them 🙂

A13-SDK sources which allow Android and Linux Kernel 3.X to be build will be uploaded later as the image is 2GB+ and I still hesitate where to host it.

Woot! I’ve ordered mine and I’m looking forward to it.

Does it have an HDMI connector or will I have to use the LCD connector? Either is fine (but obviously HDMI is more convenient for a quick start)

First of all, thank you for the great work you doing in making technical innovations available to public.
I’ve just bought the A13 board too. I plan to use it as a main Core mUnit in my open-source project for performing musicians. It is a modular platform with various sensors, processors and actuators to help performers let the magic happen. If anyone is interested in such projects, you can join me at http://museq.org . The site is very young for now though, but I’m using every free moment between soldering and programming to keep it growing.

Let’s keep in touch, we walk one way 🙂

BTW, you can host the image as a torrent. It’s a great way to let big files be hosted by the community.

the problem is in the software, we have no enough info to initialize A13 video controller properly, I’m about to send one A13 board to Allwinner for help as they are not very keen to release the video controller interns so at least they may provide proper support for the VGA modes in their FEL tool

But 16:9 displays works properly, right?

yes, we found that the new 16:9 display in our lab have some intellegence and reconstruct the video signal properly, so the problems we se on the 4:3 vga monitors are not seen there, but we can’t tell people use only 16:9 vga monitors 🙂 so this issue have to be solved properly

Did you forgot about my order? Now it’s 3-rd week since the payment was sent, and I didn’t get any package tracking info or any reply to e-mails I have sent (about address change etc.)

Can you please help me on ordering. I tried to select a way to get my A13 delivered with
minimum cost. Whatever I tried (up to now) shipment cost is added to the total amount.
I want to pay with PayPal and I want the board be sent to Thailand.
    Kind regards,
    Leo.
